Luman Richard Barton, Stella Jane Barton and Darlis Weiszhaar Scholarship

Scholars will be selected by the Vernon College Scholarship Committee based upon the following criteria: 1. U. S. citizen. 2. First preference shall be students who are Military Veterans or family members. 3. Students who are members of Law Enforcement, family members, or students in the Vernon College Police Academy. 4. Students who are majoring in Emergency Medical Services at Vernon College, first responders out in the field, or family members.5. No minimum grade point average required. 6. Residents of the Vernon College 12 county service area. 7. Enrolled in at least 5 credit hours each fall and spring semester or enrolled in the Vernon College Police Academy which is under the auspices of the Continuing Education Department.
