Harold and Peggy Hardcastle

The Vernon College Scholarship Committee will award Harold and Peggy Scholarships based upon the following criteria: 1. First preference will be given to students majoring in Agriculture or Farm and Ranch Management at Vernon College. 2. Second preference will be given to students attending Vernon College to complete their basic academic courses and planning to transfer to an Agriculture Program (including Food Science, Food Safety, etc.) at a four-year institution. 3. Grade point average of at least 3.0; 4. Full-time, taking at least 12 semester credit hours each fall and spring semester; 5. Resident of the Vernon College 12 county service area. 6. Proof of financial need with the submission of a completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to the Vernon College Financial Aid Office. 7. Student must upload a statement of at least one (1) paragraph about their future plans in their chosen agricultural field. Terms of Scholarship: Maintain a 3.0 GPA. Scholarship applies to tuition, fees and books. Scholarship must be used within the academic year awarded. Re-application necessary each academic year.
