Al Garcia Memorial EMS

Al Garcia Memorial EMS Scholarship, Criteria: First preference to a candidate who has completed the Basic EMT Certificate at Vernon College. Must be admitted to or currently enrolled in the Vernon College Advanced EMT Program. Resident of Archer, Baylor, Clay, Foard, Hardeman, Jack, Montague, Wichita, Wilbarger and Young Counties. GPA 3.0 or better in Vernon College Basic EMT Courses. If there are no eligible candidates meeting either criteria 1 or 3, may be awarded to other students admitted to or currently enrolled in the Vernon College EMS Program. Must upload a 750 word essay — “Your future plans in the field of Emergency Medical Services.” Terms of Scholarship: Maintain a 3.0 GPA. Scholarship applies to tuition, fees and books. Scholarship must be used within the academic year awarded. Re-application necessary each academic year.
